- Assist the insurance customer service manager with administrative tasks, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and handling correspondence.
- Respond to customer inquiries promptly and provide accurate information regarding insurance policies, coverage, claims, and other related services.
- Collaborate with the customer service team to address customer issues, complaints, or requests, aiming to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Process insurance applications, policy changes, endorsements, and other documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain and update customer records in the database, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in preparing and distributing customer communications, such as policy renewal notices, billing statements, and other relevant documents.
- Support the customer service manager in handling and documenting insurance claims, including gathering necessary information and coordinating with adjusters.
- Contribute to identifying areas for process improvement and participate in the development and implementation of new procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive customer information with utmost discretion and professionalism.
- Assist in generating reports and analyzing data related to customer service metrics, identifying trends, and suggesting improvements.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in insurance or a related field is desirable.
- Proven experience in an administrative or customer service support role, preferably within the insurance industry.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Proficient in using office software such as MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Detail-oriented and capable of maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Familiarity with insurance policies, coverage, and claims processes is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult customer situations with empathy and professionalism.
